Wow, two posts in a da
y?
I have a policy of not deleting posts…because they are a true reflection of my heart at the time that I write them.
However, when a follow-up is necessary, I’m there.
And today,
it’s necessary.
I cried most of the morning, feeling so discouraged and frustrated
and just, in general, not liking myself.
(Oh, it’s tough to be an ENFP. Seriously.)
I didn
‘t spend much time in prayer…maybe I should have prayed more…but I did ask God to give me what He knew I needed today, whatever that may be.
And He did.
I’m not going to share too many details yet, just to say that I get to write for one of my favorite sites.
Yes. Yes. Yes.
SO excited!!! 😀
He is Good…even when I’m all wrapped up in myself.
Can’t wait to share more with you soon!
Thank you, Father, for meeting me today.
Edit: My hubby posted this in the comments…and it’s good. (Now I need to go check out the ISTJ!)
Congratulations Mel!
Looking forward to hearing, errr….reading all about it!
Hi! It’s me. I’m back with something that I read this morning that resonated within me and I thought it might with you as well. Take it or leave it, as my mom likes to say *smile*
It’s from my Jesus Calling devotional, written as if He is the One speaking to you:
I love you regardless of how well you are performing. Sometimes you feel uneasy, wondering if you are doing enough to be worthy of My Love. No matter how exemplary your behavior, the answer to that question will always be no. Your performance and My Love are totally different issues, which you need to sort out. I love you with an everlasting love that flows out from eternity without limits or conditions. I have clothed you in My robe of righteousness, and this is an eternal transaction: Nothing and no one can reverse it. Therefore, your accomplishments as a Christian has no bearing on My Love for you. Even your ability to assess how well you’re doing on a given day is flawed. Your limited human perspective and the condition of your body, with its mercurial variations distort your evaluations.
Bring your performance anxiety to Me, and receive in its place My unfailing Love. Try to stay conscious of My love Presence with you in all that you do, and I will direct your steps.
That’s all. Bye for now *wink*
Thanks, RG. Good words…and a Good Father.
And for those of you curious…here’s a portrait of what life with an ENFP is like.
Yeah….that’s me! I knew that already. However, I didn’t know that I have…..
ZANY CHARM!!! Ha! I love it!
