Today I’m linking up with Lisa-Jo for Five-Minute Friday. And this week?
Insanely. Awesome.
I’m actually doing a live FMF in a room with a bunch of my sweet sisters who have all come together for Allume, an amazing conference that is already blessing my socks off.
So, grab a timer, set it for five minutes, and join me!
The rules: Write for five minutes. No editing, revising, overthinking, or backtracking. Just write.
Today’s prompt: Together
So here’s the thing.
This group…my community…we’ve been together for a long time. We’ve been together in the way we share our stories and our laughs, our tears, our prayers…
Our hearts.
Through screens and words and pictures.
For months I have looked forward to finally being together in real life with them…to hug necks and let the tears drip and let them know what they mean to this girl who has fumbled for community for way too long.
Now we’re together…in the same room.
It’s like a big, happy-dance-all-over-the-room dream come true…I kind of can’t believe that I get to be with each of you, letting you know just how much each of you mean to me.
The community that occupies a giant piece of my heart is finally an in real life one.
I kind of feel like dancing…
Anyone for cartwheels?
😉
Oh Mel, how I wish I was there! But God has me right where I need to be. So glad you get this precious time!!
Thank you, Sarah! Blessings to you, friend.
oh wow, that sounds incredible. I’m fairly new to this community, but feel the hunger to be involved, to be there. what a wonderful family. thanks for sharing more about it
It is, Michaela…I hope you’ll have a chance to experience it next year! It was truly an incredible weekend. Blessings to you!

You should come! It truly was awesome…trying to put it into words this week. Blessings, Ashley!
I am beginning to wonder if we’re all Exhorter Spiritual Gifts! LOL (According to the book, compassion gifts are terribly uncomfortable around the exhorter gifted person – which is maybe why this community is so encouraging to us)! Excited for you to be there!!!!!
Thank you, friend…blessings to you!
SO excited for you!! Have the best weekend ever Can’t wait to hear how God moves! Love you!
Love to you, sweet friend…thank you!

Dear Mel
Oh, I am soooo jealous of you all there at Allume! Pity South Africa is just to far away. But in my heart, I am there with you all. Enjoy your conference, dear friend.
Blessings and love XX
Mia
Oh, friend, wouldn’t it have been so fun? Thank you for your sweet thoughts…blessings to you!
Enjoy your time for refreshing your mind and soul! Then come back and teach me all you’ve learned! May God continue to bless your words and writing!
Thanks, sweet friend! We need to catch up soon.
Hoping y’all did some cartwheels
I didn’t…I thought about it, but I passed on the potential humiliation. 😉 Maybe next year! Have a great week, Kaitlyn!
and to think that it was a short year ago that i was there at allume writing with the group…time has flown. since then we have moved from TX to huntsville, AL. this wasn’t the year to go to allume for me. it’s the first year i haven’t gone. maybe next year.
I hope next year will happen for you…it was an amazing experience. So thankful for the chance to be there! Blessings, Martha!
