Lovely post. My dad was also a police officer. I miss him every day. He crossed over in 2007 and for the last ten years of his life, I lived overseas. I too wish I had known to hold on to the time I had with him. My cousin’s dad died in April and I saw her this weekend and it was interesting for me to see the different places we are on the road of grief. I am grateful I was there first so that I could support her through her grief.
