This is such a beautiful post and made me cry. Everything about it was wonderful - it's strong and lovely and the subject is something so very ordinary that anyone can relate.

I also love my table dearly. We bought it with the first advance check my husband received after joining the military, and for two months was the only bit of furniture in our house - and only the second piece of new furniture we'd ever owned. We've only had it seven years, but it is scratched and worn and sturdy as ever. I've homeschooled my children from kindergarten into middle school around it, written words, shared meals, wept tears, poured over Scripture, made art, and have had more conversations around it with people I love than I can remember. It has grown too small for a family of 8 but we are stuck with it because it is the only thing that will fit in our dining space. ha!

I'm so blessed to have you in my life, my friend...you are a treasure, and I'm so grateful for your love, support, and the many sweet memories we shared at the old table. You were also the first one to join us at our new table, so you get that title, too! ;) Blessings and love right back to you and yours. :)
